Heike

Heike

My name is Heike (Hi’ka), I was born and raised in Germany. In 2004 my family and I moved to Arizona!

Yoga has been a part of my life for some time. In 2002 I took my Yoga journey a step further, I became a certified 200-hour Yoga teacher. I also obtained a certification in Yoga and Mindfulness for children. I am registered with Yoga Alliance and excited to see where this path leads me.
My passion is to share Yoga with my community. Yoga is for everyone, and I hope you decide to practice Yoga with me!

Nicole

Nicole

Although it began as physical and emotional rehabilitation after a major injury, yoga became so much more to Nicole as she challenged herself with more hours, more complex asanas, and more controlled breaths. As Nicole’s yoga practice expanded, she found herself promoting its life-changing benefits to everyone she knew – her mother, her friends, her colleagues, and anyone else who would listen! To share yoga with more people and to deepen her own practice, Nicole took the logical leap to teaching by completing her E-RYT 200 hour certification and moving to the front of the classrooms she once practiced in. In the 13 years since she completed her power yoga training, she has continued her personal and professional education by facilitating and mentoring teacher training programs and completed her 500 hour certification through Wild Abundant Life in 2018. In addition to her more than 3500 hours of teaching and training other teachers, Nicole has continued to be an advocate for the practice of yoga, continuing to recruit friends and strangers to her community, serving as an yoga ambassador for lululemon, and supporting her students in their growth inside and outside of the studio. You can find Nicole on Instagram @nicnamaste.

Yolonda

Yolonda

Yolonda’s journey to yoga started 15 years ago as a way to relieve stress from the demands of juggling a full-time job in the mental health industry and being a mom. Between her hour-long commute and managing an office, she needed something to help her mental, emotional and physical well-being. That’s when she decided to try a hot yoga class. She was immediately hooked and has been practicing ever since. Fast-forward a few years, and Yolonda decided to leave her office job and pursue a career that she was truly passionate about. She became a yoga instructor to help others enjoy the many benefits of what yoga was doing for her.

Her favorite benefit is how well yoga can calm a racing heart and mind simply by connecting the body with breath. She started her training with an Ashtanga yoga teacher training (YTT). She then continued on to a Hot Vinyasa YTT 200 hour RYT Certification. She recently expanded her certifications and is continuing to enrich her knowledge and skills in all things yoga. She is very excited to join Elements Yoga and teach alongside other accomplished yoga teachers to share the joy and benefits of yoga with her friends, family and yoga community. She can’t wait to meet you and cross paths on your personal yoga journey.

Marissa

Marissa

Yoga has been part of my life for many years and sharing the benefits is a passion of mine. I received my RYT200 Hatha Yoga certificate from Scottsdale Community College, the only college level accreditation in Arizona with an emphasis on lyengar method yoga. I teach yin, restorative, Hatha and vinyasa flow classes. I love teaching to the student in front of me, so expect an introspective and educational class that can accomodate all bodies and conditions.
